I have been blessed to be a part of a family with rich musical lineage: My mother Smt.Saraswathi Santhanam was the disciple of Mudikondan Sri. Venkatarama Iyer and she also had training from Smt.T.Brinda, Tiruppambaram Swaminatha Pillai and Mayavaram Sri Krishna Iyer. My uncle Sri R.M.Sundaram and my late Aunt Smt. Ananthalakshmi Nagarajan were the two main direct disciples of veteran and archetypal composer Sri. N.Kotiswara Iyer.
